Onboarding Checklist

This page offers a high-level guide on the essential steps for integrating your mobile/web application with Singpass.

Step 1: Access the Singpass Developer Portal and configure your application

• Obtain access to Singpass Developer Portal.

• Configure your application in the Singpass Developer Portal.

For app creation in Production enviroment, you will be required to submit your user journey to illustrate how Myinfo/Singpass APIs are envisaged to be used in your digital service.

Step 2: Configure your client using our Discovery Endpoint

• This endpoint returns a JSON document with metadata about Singpass' OpenID Provider configuration, which should help with your subsequent integration.

Step 3: Invoke the Authorization Endpoint

• Your application should redirect users to the authorization endpoint, which will facilitate user authentication.

Step 4: Invoke the Token Endpoint

• After the user authenticates with Singpass, they will be redirected back to the provided redirect URL, along with the authorization code and a state value. Next, your application should invoke the token endpoint to exchange the authorization code for the access token and ID token. The ID token should include the user's profile to complete the authentication and authorization process.

Step 5: Invoke the User Endpoint

• Use the access token to exchange for the user info details. The scope returned will be based on your app configuration in Step 1.
